Killer Whale Drum Carving
The design for this carving was taken from the tail of the Wasco print that I printed in Oct. 2008. I decided
to make this small carving to hone my carving skills in preparation for some larger pieces that I will be working on. I purchased the wood
from Issaquah Lumber about a year ago (2007) and was actually looking for something to use this particular piece of wood on. I traced, painted and carved this piece
over about three days in early December 2008. My wife, Cynthia, took some of pictures while I was carving this piece, here are few of them.
